de Buyer
Effectively plastic-free at the cooking surface: the Mineral B pan is bare carbon steel that seasons like cast iron, so nothing touches your food but seasoned metal. The only plastic is an epoxy coating on the standard model's handle, which never contacts food — and the Mineral B PRO drops even that in favor of a cast stainless handle. This is old-world cookware where plastic was never really part of the design.
How clear are their specs?
The materials are simple and stated plainly — carbon steel body, epoxy-coated or cast stainless handle — with the handle difference between Mineral B and Mineral B PRO called out directly.
Lead testing disclosure
No lead/cadmium disclosure, dedicated safety page, or named lab report was found on debuyer-usa.com's FAQ or product pages - de Buyer doesn't appear to make any lead/cadmium claim at all, bare or otherwise. Independent XRF testing (Lead Safe Mama) of two de Buyer pans found no lead and only trace cadmium/antimony confined to a yellow silicone logo on the handle, but this is third-party testing de Buyer does not reference or promote on its own site.
