Ascaso
Ascaso markets the Steel line on a "100% food-safe AISI 316 stainless-steel water circuit," and the heated brew path is largely stainless-lined thermoblock plus silicone tubing. But that "no plastic in the water path" claim is not literally accurate on volumetric models: Ascaso's own spec sheet lists a glass-filled PBT (Arnite) flowmeter body in the circuit, and the cold-water reservoir is NSF/FDA-approved polycarbonate. So it is much cleaner than a typical machine, but not zero-plastic-in-water.
How clear are their specs?
Ascaso publishes a stainless-water-circuit claim and a materials spec that lists the PBT flowmeter and polycarbonate tank - so the fuller picture is disclosed, but the headline marketing overstates it.
